Welcome– we, Vashle and Mothmints, are two artists based in the NYC metro area that collaborate frequently on artwork and created “Gothvix” as our collective brand in late ’24. Our Etsy shop first achieved “Star Seller” status in May ’25. Our ratio of fan-to-original content is roughly 50/50. As a collaboration between two artists, we utilize both of our specialities: melancholic, dramatic works and light-hearted cute works to round out our portfolio and lean on each other’s strengths.

Fan Work SUMMARY

Our target genres for fan works are romance (Danmei novels, Otome/Dating sims), cult classic myths, anime & animation, Nintendo & Playstation classics (FF, SMT & Persona, Okami, Zelda, Drakengard & Nier, Splatoon, Pokemon, etc.), and fantasy (Baldur’s Gate 3). These inspired & compliment our original works.

ORIGINAL Work SUMMARY

For original works, we are currently developing a large comic “Andromedae” and are hoping to release several short one-shots this year. Our original work is a mix of original IPs and relatable items.

We also run an online storytelling competition “Summer Leagues OCT” (“OCT” standing for “Original Character Tournament”) where participants are challenged to create comic or prose chapters in a limited time within a tournament framework. We provide resources and feedback on the submitted creative work, and sell merchandise of our host characters to support our online infrastructure.

Table Setup

To the right – our half of a shared table setup at Galaxycon Ohio 2024. Our featured piece was our PokeMiku “Gachapond”, where attendees could ‘hook’ a duck using our magnetic fishing rod and win the duck’s corresponding PokeMiku charm. Attendees that played seemed to have a fun time! Plus, our B-grade freebies were a hit.

Below – our table layouts for 8′ and 10′, respectively. For family-friendly cons we exclude the larger prints from hanging view that utilize blood and could be upsetting.
